When you visit Wiedemann Hill Mansion you are struck by its timeless elegance and beauty. This Samuel Hannaford Designed private home, sits a top Wiedemann Hill, in Newport, Kentucky. The attention to detail is seen in each individual room you walk into. Your eyes will dance around the room from floor to ceiling trying to take in the beauty that surrounds you. The inside with its stunning hardwood floors, hand carved mantels and ornate hand painted plaster ceilings, are only topped by the breathtaking panoramic views of the Cincinnati skyline.
Over the years, we have been honored to work at this beautiful venue and with the owners Donna & Roger. It is evident that they care about each couple’s story and we are thrilled to share some of their history and story with you. Here is some of what they shared with us.
Q- What do you love most about your venue?
A- We love specializing in small weddings. It allows us the freedom to customize each wedding and make the bride and grooms day unique and personalized. And then, of course, there is the view! The Cincinnati skyline provides a dramatic backdrop for wedding photos.
Q- How did you get started?
A- We used to do corporate events, but we had a client that wanted us to host their wedding. Suddenly, weddings became the majority of our business.
Q- What is your favorite moment during a wedding reception?
A- We love it when the bride and groom, their parents and guest tell us their small/intimate wedding was the most unique and memorable wedding they’ve ever attended.
Q- What aspect of your job makes you excited?
A- I love the last meeting we have to discuss the final details with the bride and groom. Seeing that excitement in their eyes that their day is so close! Also, the relief that we can give them, knowing we took care of everything for them and they have no need worry or stress.
Q- A tip for couples that are looking to book their perfect venue?
A- If your photos are the most important aspect of your wedding, then make sure you have a beautiful backdrop. Your wedding photos will be how you remember your wedding. And take the time before the ceremony for your photos so you can enjoy your guest at the reception and you don’t feel rushed.
Q- What is included when a client books your service?
A- A stress-free environment! We try to take care of everything for the couple by providing numerous services: linens, flatware, china, barware, toasting flutes, serving pieces, cake plateaus, all non-alcoholic beverages. We offer private dressing suites, detailed planning sessions, music and an on-site master of ceremonies. We also do all the setup, schedule the delivery for flowers, cake, etc. We also take care of the cleanup too. We want everything to be perfect when the bride arrives and throughout her day.
Q- How do you help your clients customize their service?
A- On the day they book their wedding with us, we schedule their first planning session. We like to provide them with multiple choices and ideas on how they can have their dream wedding. We try to think of what they need before they do. Our couples are welcomed back as many times as needed to detail their perfect day.
