Welcome to Newport Aquarium, a beautiful, fun and original space, that allows you to interact with penguins, watch sharks swim over your heads and enjoy a breathtaking view of our Cincinnati city skyline!
We recently worked with Dee Hornback and her team at Newport Aquarium. They were attentive to every need of the couple and made sure that their day was perfectly timed and everything the bride and groom had dreamed of! We instantly knew we wanted to share details of their wedding venue with all of you. Please take some time to get to know the creative team at the Newport Aquarium.
Q- What do you love most about your Venue?
A- Our Riverside room has floor to ceiling windows overlooking downtown Cincinnati. The view from our space is breathtaking at night, especially on Reds firework Fridays! The Aquarium in itself is a very unique experience and offers guest the opportunity to explore the exhibits while being mesmerized with our animals.
Q- What is your favorite moment during a wedding reception?
A- My favorite moment will always be the father /daughter dance. I have been working with couples for many years and that moment will always make me tear up. The look on the fathers face when he walks up to his daughter for their dance takes my breath away.
Q- What aspect of your job makes you excited?
A- When I get to see the bride in her dress for the first time, I can’t wipe the smile off my face, it always gets me so excited. A smile is contagious and when the bride see’s me smile, she too is excited and smiling and this just helps to ease her nerves. We have been working with them for a long time and now the day is here and all the details are coming together, it’s so rewarding.
Q- What would you suggest to a couple who are looking for their perfect wedding venue?
A- Look for a space that can give you the opportunity to have a ceremony and reception. A venue that offers on onsite wedding coordinator. A lot of couples book spaces without either, and then they end up spending more and having to do everything themselves.
Q- What is one thing you would like every couple to know before their wedding?
A- I would tell them not to worry about the small things. At the end of the day you’re married, and thats all that matters. Everything else will fall into place.
